1981年8月， 湖南省儿童医院筹建办成立。

1984年5月， 省儿童医院建筑工程破土动工。

1985年10月，省卫生厅党组批准成立中共湖南省儿童医院临时党委。

1986年11月，任党中央总书记胡耀邦为湖南省儿童医院题写院名。

1987年7月， 湖南省儿童医院正式开院，现任全国政协副主席、时任湖南省委书记毛致用同志开院剪彩。

1988年9月， 湖南省医学会急诊专业委员会正式成立，并挂靠我院。

1988年10月，“湖南省儿童医院保健所”成立，隶属于省儿童医院。

1989年10月，湖南省医学会儿科专业委员会正式挂靠我院。

1990年4月， 医院召开第一届党员大会。

1990年9月， 医院召开第一届职工代表大会。

1992年4月， 医院被确定为同济医科大学教学基地。

1992年6月， 夺得了象征护理质量最高奖“天使杯”，且连续三年夺冠。

1992年，     湖南省护理学会儿科专业委员会在我院成立。

1993年9月， 建立了全省第一个儿童急救中心。

1994年5月， 加授“湖南省红十字”医院。

1995年12月，通过“三甲医院”评审。

1997年3月， 湖南省儿童脑瘫治疗康复中心在我院成立。

1997年5月， 举行医院党员大会暨第二届党委会成立大会。

1997年6月， 举行建院十周年院庆庆典活动。

1997年        1997年11月，在杨寿松同志领导下的新一届领导班子与省政府王克英常务副省长签订三年发展军令状，医院的发展步入了快车道。

1997年12月，医院开展第一例心内直视手术。

1999年3月， 医院召开第二届职工代表大会。

1999年5月， 省直工委授予“双文明先进单位”光荣称号。

1999年5月， 湖南省儿科急救网络成立，网络中心设儿童医院。

1999年12月，湖南省医学会小儿外科专业委员会在我院正式成立。

2000年11月，潘贵玉副省长在我院召开现场办公会， 收1997年军令状完成情况。

2001年3月， 湖南省红十字会“曙光行动”启动仪式在我院隆重举行。

2001年9月， 湖南省儿童眼视光、弱视、斜视防治中心成立。

2001年12月，湖南省医院管理协会门急诊管理专业委员会在我院正式成立。

2002年3月， 由我院主编的国家级<<临床小儿外科杂志>>举行了发刊仪式。

2002年3月， 湖南省青春期医学中心在我院成立。

Chronicle of events

       In Aug.of 1981,   the Preparatory Office office of Huan Children’s Hospital was established

In May of 1984,   the construction of the building works was commenced

In Oct.of 1985,   the leading Party group of Hunan Public Health Department approved to establish a tempory Party Committee of Hunan Children’s Hospital

In Jul. of 1987,    Hunan Children’s Hospital was inaugurated and Mao Zhiyong, Vice Chairman of the Cinese People’s Political Consultative Confercenci (secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at that time) cut the ribbon of inauguration

In Sep. of 1988,   the emergency treatment branch of Huuan Medical Society was established

In Oct. of 1988,  Hunan Children Health Protection Station wsa established and it affiliated to Children’s Hospital

In Oct. of 1989,  the paediatrics branch of Hunan Medical Society was formerly affiliated to Hunan Children’s Hospital

In Apr. of 1990,   the first Party Member Meeting was held

In Sep. of 1990,   the Firs Staff Representative Meeting was held

In Apr. of 1992,  Hunan Children’s Hospital was selected as the teaching base of the Tongji Medical University

In jun. of 1992,   the Hospital won the Angel Cup that symbolizes the higest nursing quality and maintained No.1 for 3 successive yiears

In 1992,         pediatric nurse society of Hunan province was established in the hospital

In Sep. of 1993,   the first Children First-aid Cemter in Hunan Province was established in May of 1994, it was approved Hunan Red Cross Hospital

In Dec. of 1995,   it past Grade III and Class A hospital examination

In Mar. of 1997,  the convalescent treatment center for the children with cerebral paralysis of Hunan Province was setup.

In May. of 1997,  both the Party Member Meeting and 2 nd Party Committee Meeting were held

In Jun. of 1997,   10 th anniversary celebration of the Hospital’s foundation

In Nov. of 1997,  a contract for the development of the Hospital in 3 years was signed between the leading group of the Hospital health by Yang Shousong and the Provincial Govemment, the development of the Hospital was listed on agenda

In Dec. of 1997,   the cardiac and thoracic surgery section was established

In Jul.of 1998,    a prematurd baby named Liu Xiaomei with a weight of only 740 g was saved and the child grows normally in all aspects at the moment

In Mar. of 1999,   the second staff representative meeting was held

In May.of 1999,  the Hospital was awarded the Advanced Unit for Double Civilization by Provincial Working Commission

In May. of 1999,  the Hunan pediatric emergency network was established the network was based in Hunan children’s hospital

In Dec.of 1999,  paediatric surgery branch of Huna Medical Society was established in the Hospital

In Nov. of 2000,  Pan Guiyu, Vice Governor , went to the Hospital to check implementation of the Contract signed in 1997

In Mar of 2001,   the Dawn Action sponsored by Hunan Red Cross Society was inaugurated in the hospital

In Sep. of 2001,   Hunan Children Eye Sight, Weak Sight and Skew Prevention and Curing Center was established

In Dec. of 2001,   the clinic and emergency management branch of Hunan Hospital Management Association was established in the Hospital

In Mar. of 2002,   the inauguration ceremony of the Periodical of Clinical Paediatric Surgery edited by the Hospital held

In Mar. of 2002,    Hunan Adolescaria Medical Center was established in the hospital
